Adam is a Bald Eagle who was shot as a 1st year bird in 1985. His wing never healed properly and he does not have the ability to fully extend it. Since he cannot maintain flight, he is unable to hunt and would not survive in the wild. Adam used to live at the Rocky Mountain Arsenal. After his initial handler left, no one else was able to handle him. He came to us in 2005 and began working with Heidi, our executive director. Heidi and Adam are now very bonded. Currently Heidi is Adam’s only handler.
