BIRDS OF PREY FOUNDATION VOLUNTEER RULES OF CONDUCT
The BOP volunteer corps has been formed to serve recuperating raptors. The nature of our program does not necessitate the handling of the birds. Most of our work is cleaning, maintaining buildings, new construction, office work and the maintenance of rodent, rabbit and quail facilities. The following rules of conduct have been established to maximize the return of our raptors to the wild.
Once again, our primary interest is in the recovery of the birds. We retain our success in returning raptors to the wild by ensuring the birds have limited contact with people. The birds are handled only when absolutely necessary, and only by people who have received special training that allows them to do so.
BOP is not liable for any personal injury incurred by volunteers at the Facilities or while acting as a representative of BOP.
